Olle Halvars (b 1985) is a printmaking artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. He has a Bachelor’s degree of Arts in Education from Konstfack and diplomas from Printmaking College in Stockholm and Östra Grevie in Malmö. In his work he experiments with handmade and self-taught printmaking techniques to create a simple imagery. It’s a mix of cutouts, broad brushstrokes and engravings. The themes have a tendency to always deal with a dark and dystopic take on society today mixed with personal thoughts and everyday issues. A sense that contains both humor and fear.
Over the years Olle has expanded into making sculptures, installations and murals often in collaboration with other artists. He is involved in different art collectives and shares a printmaking studio called Käse. His art has been continuously displayed in Stockholm, Copenhagen och Zagreb.
